WINSOE MCCAY 6 EARLY WORKS
Hailed as the Father of Animation, McCay's static cartoons are no less vibrant and unique. Volume 6 features McCay's first continuous comic strip, Mr. Goodenough, which ran from January 1904 to March 1905 in the Evening Telegram. Volume 7 features a large collection of McCay's rare short-run strips, such as: "Poor Jake," "Mr. Bosh," "The Man From Montclair," "It's Nice to be Married," and "Nobody Cares for Father." Volume 8 contains "Dream of the Rarebit Fiend" and McCay's advertising work. Volume 9 reprints McCay's editorial cartoons and animation cels from "Gertie the Dinosaur."
