There's a bar fight between God's infernal Virtues, the Hounds of Heaven, and the Devil's seven deadly sins; survivors of the homicidal pogroms perpetrated by the One God against the many. But nothing is as it seems; the Drifter plans a jailbreak, and the Morning Star, cunning to the last, may have manipulated events from the start. The Drifter begins to understand his position as a lever, capable of destabilizing the balance of power and rescuing the one soul he sought to avenge at the very start.
